1) Getting Started
Opening UDOIT in Your Course
UDOIT will need to be enabled in your course for Winter 2026, for Spring 2026 it will be available in the Canvas left had navigation menu. To begin:
- Log in to Canvas and navigate to your course.
- Enable UDOIT link in the left-hand course navigation menu.
- Locate the UDOIT link in the left-hand course navigation menu.
- Click the link to open the tool. It will automatically begin scanning your course content.
Note: Students will never see the UDOIT link in their navigation. It is visible only to teachers, TAs, and designers.
2) Scan & Dashboard
Accessing UDOIT Course Dashboard
The tool will automatically scan your course content upon opening. No manual start is required.
Once the scan finishes, look at the Home tab. You will see your Accessibility Score (your course's overall "grade").
3) Ways to Get Started
On the right side of your screen, you will see several options to start remediating content, ranging from easiest to fix, high-impact, issue type, impact type (by accessibility needs of a student), and content type in relation to Canvas content.
4) Navigating to UFIXIT
The UFIXIT interface allows you to resolve errors without leaving the report page in UDOIT.
