    Canvas - Classic and New Quizzes

    Confused about the difference between Classic and New Quizzes in Canvas? 

    Join us on Monday, May 9th, 2:30-3:30 pm for a discussion of the two Quiz tools in Canvas. We will examine each of these tools and discuss their appropriate use. 

    We will also discuss the roles of Question and Item Banks in their respective tools and explain how to use these resources to save yourself time when deploying Quizzes in future courses.

    Canvas/eLearn will be our one and only Learning Management System beginning with Summer Session A courses. Blackboard/iLearn will be discontinued in June.

    Piazza integration with Canvas - Introduction

    Join us on May 24th at 2 pm for an introduction to Piazza, one of our Canvas Integrations. 

    Piazza is a great way to keep students engaged, as well as to ensure that any questions they have get answered either by their peers or by the instructor.

  • Gradescope 4-Part Series

    Gradescope: Spend more time on your students and less time on grading.

    Join us in this 4-part, introductory series to learn about Gradescope and the ways it can help make grading and providing feedback more efficient. The series will start with sample assignments drawn from the humanities to showcase the grading and management benefits of Gradescope. The hands-on components allow instructors from both the humanities and STEM to actively engage with the software. Register here. Zoom and location details to follow.

    • Use a variety of assessment tools, including scantron exams, fill in the blank, short paragraph answer formats and more.
    • Scan or upload the entire submission set in one streamlined action, or have your students submit them directly.

Bring an assignment or exam that you’d like to use with Gradescope in the next quarter to get an inside look at how this tool can work for you, pressure free. Lunch provided for in-person attendance.
