What is Zoom
Zoom is a cloud-based communication platform that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.

Getting Started
All UCR faculty, staff, students, and affiliates have access to a Pro Account by logging in with UCR NetID and Password. A Pro account allows video conferences of up to 24 hours with up to 300 participants at a time.
Download and log into Zoom at https://ucr.zoom.us/ with your NetID and Password.
To Increase Meeting Security at set-up stage:
- Create a unique Meeting ID
- Set screen sharing to host only
- Enable Waiting Room
- Embed Password in link for one-click join
- Mute Participants Upon Entry
- Host and Co-Host Controls in a Meeting (skip video to 1:02)
- Limit meeting access to UCR-users only:
Select “Require Authentication to Join” and then choose “Sign into UCR Zoom.” Please have participants log in using their UCR Credentials
