XCITE is pleased to offer an in-person and remote training workshop series on Canvas, UCR’s new Learning Management System (LMS). This “Canvas Bootcamp” will take you through Canvas features, and will be held before the Winter 2023 quarter.

Canvas Winter 2023 Quarter Bootcamp is a hybrid series that will be offered in the XCITE Commons (Rivera Library, RM #A0101A) and streamed online. Optional Additional Open Hours - Following Each Session from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm meet with XCITE staff for individual consultation.

• Please be sure to bring your laptop if you want to participate in the valuable extra experience.

Canvas Basics - New to Canvas, and not sure where to begin? Learn about the Canvas Menus, Announcements, Modules, or how to set up Pages. Register for Tuesday. 12/06/22 or Tuesday 12/12/22. 

Canvas Beyond Basics - Familiar with Canvas, and want to learn more? Topics covered include using Discussion boards, Quizzes (Classic vs New), SpeedGrader, Assignment accommodations, advanced Module settings, copying course content, Groups and Group Assignments. Register for Wednesday 12/07/22 or Wednesday 12/14/22. 

Canvas Deep Dive - Want to learn more about Canvas advanced features and tools? This final workshop covers using Google integrations, Peer Review integrations such as TurnitIn, Poll Everywhere, Piazza, and more. Register for Tuesday. 12/08/22 or Thursday 12/15/22.
