Dr. Worku Nida is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Anthropology
Dr. Worku Nida is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in Anthropology at UCR. He is very passionate about teaching how life is lived and why people behave the way they do through various anthropological courses including a lower division course, Cultural Anthropology, which is the Anthropology Department’s largest class, always with 500+ students/quarter. Dr. Nida loves learning from his students who share stories about their own lived experiences and cultures as products/outcomes of inclusive critical thinking assignments on their/family cultures and markers of identity that he designs and implements in his courses.
Who Should Attend?
This session is for instructors in any discipline who are curious about teaching online, but who may be unfamiliar with what’s needed to teach online. It would also be good for those who may be looking for strategies or resources to support online teaching.
