New Year. New Opportunities. Explore the next steps for effective and inclusive teaching and learning at the First Annual UCR Teaching and Learning Week hosted by XCITE.

Join the XCITE Center for Teaching and Learning for a week of events on engaging with students and implementing innovative teaching techniques. Our first annual event’s theme is “Inclusive Pedagogy” to enhance inclusivity and equity.

This annual conference is FREE and open to any UCR faculty, instructor, or graduate student interested in improving their teaching skills.

Seating is limited, so register  today!

Sessions include:

  • Keynote presentation by Dr. Estela Gavosto, UCR’s new Associate Vice-Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity.
  • Come enjoy four free Lunch and Learn events during the week with guests presenters, good food, and free giveaways. Practical and empowering sessions take the mystery out of integrating DEI strategies into your courses.
  • Introducing the UC System-wide DEI rubric that you can begin implementing this term.
  • Practical how-to on writing your DEI Philosophy Statement for job applications and portfolios.
  • ..and more!

All events will be hybrid - in-person and live streamed. Recordings will become available on teaching.ucr.edu. Attend in-person for the giveaways each day.

Dates: October 17-21, 2022
