Joshua Wood is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Political Science.  His research focus is on theories of agency developed by Locke and Hume.  He also conducts research on ChatGPT performance on college-level assessments and career intervention strategies for political science majors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Analisa Flores is an Assistant Professor of Teaching in the Department of Statistics. Her research interests are in statistics education for undergraduate students with primary focus on course and curriculum development. Her current work addresses the creation of education infrastructure and pathways for data science and statistics.

Frequent, low-stakes opportunities to check learning can help offset the weight of high-stakes assessments in ways that help students track their own understanding in preparation for exams, while “second round exams” allow students to recover from low performance on high-stakes assessments they may have found particularly challenging.
